Bezel Setting an Oval Brilliant Cut Advanced Stone Setting Techniques Metalsmith Academy

In this video Im setting an oval CZ in a 1mm thick sterling silver bezel using ball burs to cut the seat. Be warned - its not as easy as it looks! But once youve got to grips with basic tube setting this is a great if not slightly more stressful next step! BTW - the bezel is superglued to a wooden base which is held in my GRS Tools Micro Ball Vice. To get the setting off the wood Ill just give it a soak in acetone or squeeze the wood in a vice so the setting pops right off.
